My experiences… Life story on achieving success!!!

Hi guys,

Although i m no authority in writing this stuff… as i am a very mediocre person… who has not achieved much success in life till date… but the mistakes that i committed…  and things that i learned on the way while committing those mistakes have forced me to write a blog… or so to say a series of blogs… on this…

1. Speed

I found that speed or say ability to take decision quickly is very important and then acting on it… when u take up a decision and do nothing about it… or wait for favorable situations to come for making ur decisions a success… u r actually losing on to precious time… Some of u might differ to me on this… u can…

When u try to speed up the process… u quickly can realize ur mistakes when executing ur mistakes… and thereby learning and correcting them…

Example is that of my involvement in getting an EOU status for the company… when i was assigned this work… i didnt knew much about whats all about this…  but by learning abt it i slowly came to know more and more… but even after getting the project in my hand… i couldnt move for atleast 10 days… had i acted immediately and filed the application… i could have found out and realized my mistakes earlier… this could easily have impacted the whole process by 1-2 months…

Will write more on it in my next scrap…

If you want to get information on how to get an EOU (Export Oriented Unit) status in India… plz visit my blog… http://biz-czar.blogspot.com/… it gives out good resources into how to get the EOU status… procedures… and some very good hands-on tips… on doing things right!!! Well u need to believe this… coz i have had a very very good experience (and i mean it) in getting my company … an EOU status…

The Beginning!!!

Hi,

I have been motivated to start this blog just to share the information that i have gathered being in this Web 2.0 industry for some time now. This is just an attempt of mine to explain the different ways by which an entrepreneur can do/might do business.

Since I am currently in India, this has added a new dynamics to this whole situation. What we are right now witnessing in India could probably be compared to the situation in which US of A was in their early 80s and 90s.

That was the time when the computer industry really took off and everything was about IBM/Apple/Microsoft etc. etc. etc. The US economy was booming, exports of Computers were skyrocketing, US companies were acquiring different firms around the world. People were actually witnessing what could be termed as the “US flexin’ its muscles”.

And then came hotmail/google/bazee, a bunch of .com startups raking in the moolah when the software industry was say… at its prime. Suddenly software companies started giving obscene salaries/incentives to its employees. It also gave birth to new avenues for funding… attracting angel investors/Venture capital funding/mezzanine funding etc.

Concept of funding had not caught on well with the Indian business environment at that point of time with funds coming mostly from banks in terms of loans. The IT scene in India was concentrated more into BPO business with India becoming the back-office of the world.

Things changed when the IT-bubble burst. In the US, all the dot-com companies went bust and many closed by night. India was somewhat saved from the onslaught mainly because of its BPO competencies. But IT companies in India were still a lot hit by the events.

Other things that changed around that time was that more churning went on, as to trying to define the role of web in the coming years. It was then during the 2003-04 conferences held by O’Reilly that the word Web 2.0 came out. And out come the no. of possibilities that the web can do.

People started talking more about interactivity, user generated content, from one-sourcing to crowd-sourcing. Also with it came a number of web 2.0 ready websites such as Orkut, Facebook, Myspace etc.

Although Web 2.0 has been at its prime in US/Canada, it still has to catch on with the Indian masses. The next post would be more about explaining what web 2.0 is and how it can be used.
